THE IMPERIAL CITIES OF MOROCCO - FES, RABAT AND MEKNES

Morocco is a nation with a richly diverse culture that has been shaped by 3,000 years of recorded history. It is a nation whose diversity and heritage is clearly illustrated by the splendid architecture of her Imperial cities of Fez, Rabat and Meknes. We invite you to join our five day journey of exploration discovering the wonders of the Imperial cities as an excellent way to acclimate before the start of our twelve day Moroccan adventure exploring the Atlas and Western Sahara.. We meet first in Casablanca which is easily accessed from the United States. Our trip will last five nights with arrival in Marakesh on 15th September enabling you to join us on our expedition to the mountains and desert. ACCOMMODATION will be in delightful, traditional Riads.

GUIDES will be Dig Bulmer and Ismael Elidrissi

TRANSPORT will be by comfortable mini bus MEALS : All breakfasts (usually continental) and 5 dinners included

ITINERARY
Day 1
Meet Casablanca Airport for transfer to Riad (Despite the romance associated with “Casa” she is an industrial city with little interest)

Day 2
Transfer to Rabat - city of domes and minarets, the capitol of Morocco. One night at Riad.

Day 3
Transfer to Fes – The oldest of the cities, it is a World Heritage Site that is the embodiment of Morocco’s history – two nights at Riad

Day 4
Day discovering Fes - - Second night at Riad

Day 5
Transfer to Meknes – surrounded by almost 25 miles of ramparts the city will always be associated with Moulay Ismail and his legendary Black Guard. One night at Riad.

Day 6
Transfer to Marrakesh
